JOY IN THE WORK. 

Yes, we work hard to make the best shows possible, but we also have a good time and can get a little silly from the long hours together! Students say they make life-long friends through arts programs, and we invite you to scroll through the pictures to share  some of the love.

It is the mission of the Newburyport Public School Performing Arts Department to provide every student the opportunity to engage in the appreciation, creation and analysis of multiple performing arts modalities. We will provide a 21st century education through embedding technology in each performing arts course, while focusing on the connection with the physical body, voice or instrument. Through culturally sensitive instructional practices, students will experience the performing arts as relevant to their multiple intelligences. Whether students pursue the performing arts at a post-secondary or professional level or engage in it socially, we aim to instill a lifelong advocacy for the impact and power of creativity.
