NHS Music Concerts are free and fun for the whole family! We showcase whatever classes are in session that semester, from Concert Band and Choir, to smaller ensembles in any given year.

It is the mission of the Newburyport Public School Performing Arts Department to provide every student the opportunity to engage in the appreciation, creation and analysis of multiple performing arts modalities. We will provide a 21st century education through embedding technology in each performing arts course, while focusing on the connection with the physical body, voice or instrument. Through culturally sensitive instructional practices, students will experience the performing arts as relevant to their multiple intelligences. Whether students pursue the performing arts at a post-secondary or professional level or engage in it socially, we aim to instill a lifelong advocacy for the impact and power of creativity.
