This full year class is open to all instrumental students (winds, brass, and percussion). Students will have the opportunity to work as a large ensemble and in small groups. This course is tailored to students at all levels as newer musicians will be able to hone their skill while more seasoned musicians are challenged. Students will have the opportunity to perform at a regional competition and improve their sight-reading skills.
Honors Band: Students enrolled in concert band may receive honors credit for meeting additional academic goals in performance, composition, peer mentoring and reflection.
2017-2018 NHS Band
Jazz Band: A 2nd semester course which meets once a week in the evening. Requires audition or permission of instructor.
Guitar: A one-semester course for guitar players of all levels.
Music Tech: Students in this one-semester course make music using our current technology. Learn about music theory, basic piano skills, and how to make a computer understand what a piano keyboard is saying. Find your own use for our technology to make music in your own way!
